2 weeks Pregnant.

We haven't had any ultrasounds or pregnancy tests yet, but I'm pretty positive that Liddy took and is pregnant. If she took on her first breed date, she is exactly 2 weeks along today. She has been eating like CRAZY 3 times a day and we have been letting her eat all she wants. We want her to feed those puppies and for her and them to all be super healthy and strong.

Only 7 more weeks to go. I can't believe it...

Breeding Liddy...

March 28th we took Liddy to North Ogden to meet her boyfriend Mr.Bear.

This is Mr. Bear.
After we found him and did some research into whether we wanted to use him as a stud or not, we found out that he was Bailey's Dad.
It's funny how small the world is sometimes.
Needless to say we heard great things, and got really good Character reviews about him and his 'family'... and so another adventure begins.
Abouth 10 days later my Mom and I went and picked her up. It was a REALLY long 10 days for me. I missed my sweet girl SO SO much!
She was so happy to see me and be home!!

Out in the Cedars...

A few Sunday's ago, we took the girls out to a little spot just pas the Green River and drove back up into the Cedars until we were overlooking a Canyon behind us.

They had a lot of fun running around, sniffing out all the new smells and helping us build a fire.

They're such great companions. I love these girls!

Sophie's a dork sometimes...

We had a shelf in front of the dogs "area" the other day while we had people over and Sophie wanted to come be a part of everything so badly, that she wriggled her head as far into this gap as she coud. She then couldn't get any further, so she gave up and fell asleep like this. Oh that girl...

Staff...

In January we noticed Sophie had a wet spot on her neck and it smelled really badly, so I took her to the vet. She had been wearing a bark collar and the prongs had gotten wet and irritated the skin on her neck. He said he was pretty sure she scratched it and when she broke the skin, it allowed her to get a staff infection. He said she probably hadn' thad it for more than 24-48 hours. I couldn't believe that in such a short period of time it could get this bad...

So he sedated her, shaved her neck, and cleaned her up. She got shots of antibiotics and creams rubbed on her neck.
He sent us home with more creams, antibiotics and steriods to help the healing process.
The poor girl was really sore and miserable for a few days...
But with A LOT of cuddles...
and naps...
She started healing up really good.
She was so patient about letting me doctor her.
And she is now...better than ever!

A hike...

We took the girls on a 1 mile hike in the snow on one of our sunnier winter days.

They loved it.
